With the creative style of Miss Lauren Tebbey (LCreative) and her father Alan’s building talent, the four month journey began almost 13 years ago to turn a blank canvas into a rustic modern dining location fit for the eco Mudgeeraba surroundings.
A lot of recycled materials were used in the design… the tables and bar top are hand made using recycled box wood timber floor boards, and old railway sleepers for the lounge. The original concrete slab was brought back to life with a heavy polish to expose the blue stone used in the concrete mix.
The wine barrels are 25 year old oak barrels and form a main feature in the restaurant. The Log wall was designed to draw attention to the origninal logging town that is Mudgeeraba.
Amongst the rustic charm there are some modern touches. The Onyx stone bar front proved quite a challenge in itself but has proved to be a beautiful feature piece.
Every element in the design has a story to tell, and there will sure be more to follow..
